What is The Good Help, exactly?

The Good Help offers private household support for busy people who need help with everything in between. We focus on laundry, resetting rooms, keeping things tidy and organized, and taking care of the background work that makes a home feel calm and livable.

How is this different from a cleaning service?

We don’t replace your cleaner. Most of our clients already have one they love! Our role is to keep your home feeling pulled together between cleanings — beds made, laundry handled, kitchens reset, and everyday clutter dealt with so it doesn’t pile up. We do a light clean - vacuuming up crumbs, cleaning sticky countertops, polishing sink fixtures, but we leave the scrubbing, mopping, and deep cleaning to the professionals!

What does a typical visit look like?

It depends on your household, but most visits include laundry, tidying and resetting bedrooms and living spaces, refreshing the kitchen after daily use, and maintaining your existing organization systems. We focus on the details that make the biggest difference, and we’re always ready to help with the tasks that matter most to you!

What if my needs change week to week?

That’s completely expected! As long as it fits within the scope of your regular support, we can adjust priorities as needed.

How often do you come?

Most clients choose a weekly or bi-weekly visit. Consistency is what allows us to keep things feeling calm and under control. We’ll talk through what makes sense for your home.

Do I need to be home?

Not at all. Most clients are out during our visits. We’ll go over access and preferences during onboarding, so everything feels easy.

Do I need to prepare the house before you come?

No. We’re used to real, lived-in homes. Our role is to help restore order, not to judge or expect things to be “ready.”

What areas do you serve?

We currently work with families in select SW Calgary neighbourhoods, including Elbow Park, Garrison Woods, Marda Loop, Altadore, Britannia, Mount Royal, Roxboro, and nearby areas.

How does pricing work?

We price by the hour, with a 3 hour minimum. We are happy to provide our pricing - just reach out or fill out an application form!
